Do it! Drop it and put your hands behind your head.
You have the right to remain worthy. (No matter what you accomplish today.)
Anything you do or do not get done feels like it will be used against you in the court of life. (But it won’t.)
If you cannot let go of the ball, another ball will be provided. And another. And another. And another. (Until you’re buried under a sea of balls!)
Do you understand your rights?
Your challenge this week is to loosen your grip. Neatly, gently and intentionally place the ball you are constantly in fear of dropping down on the ground. How do I do that, you say? Here are a few options:
- Designate an entire day where you’re not run by your to-do list. Don’t set the alarm. Don’t refer to a current task list or create a new one. Just be. See what it feels like. Realize that the world won’t end. Take some deep breaths. Practice being in the moment. And seeing what naturally shows up for you.
- Go ahead and create your to-do list for the day, but from a very conscious mindset. Approach it in a way where everything on your list is something you get to do, that you’re excited to contribute to the world. Rather than what you have to do.
- Trust yourself more. How often do you stress out about dropping the ball? How often do you actually drop it? Give yourself some credit. You do a great job. You manage a lot. Take a deep breath. Celebrate. Prioritize. Enjoy.
Pick an option or try them all. Or create something from scratch that works for you. Don’t forget to record your experience in your 52 Week Adventure Journal. You can refer back to it later to reflect on how far you’ve come or to remind you of what worked or didn’t work when this life lesson presents itself again – and it will!
I’m taking the Weekly Challenges right alongside you. So if you have questions, suggestions or want to share your experience with the Challenge, I want to hear from you in the comments below.
