Forgiveness is all about freedom.  Releasing ourselves, and sometimes others in the process, from the pains and fears of our past and/or the present moment.

I think Oprah Winfrey puts it best –  “Forgiveness is giving up the hope that the past could have been any different, it’s accepting the past for what it was, and using this moment and this time to help yourself move forward.”

So my challenge to you this week is to practice forgiveness. In big and small ways. You can tackle big deep-seated wounds such as my story in this week’s blog. Or you can keep it simple, and just forgive the S.O.B. (oh sorry, I mean gentleman) riding your tail so close down the interstate that you’re afraid if you blink there will be a twelve car pile-up!

And if nothing else, just see if you can pay attention and notice the places in your life where you can offer forgiveness, even if you’re not currently able to extend it.

Don’t forget to write about it in your Adventure Journal and share anything about your experiences below!
